U-1A Legion

Our goal is a cost-effective mass-deployable Expendable Mine-Disposal Vehicle (EMDV).

By leveraging mass production and commercial off-the-shelf components, we aim to lower costs significantly to enable the rapid, scalable deployment of reliable countermeasures - without compromising performance in critical missions.

By designing the U-1A Legion for seamless integration into fast-response platforms, our objective is to deliver significantly faster mine neutralization than traditional systems.

Seamless Integration

The U-1A Legion is being engineered for true rapid deployment - no heavy cranes, no complex launch systems, and no lengthy setup times. Unlike traditional EMDVs that require specialized shipboard cranes, the vision is for the U-1A Legion to integrate directly into existing automated fast-response platforms.

The man-portable design is intended to enable fast launches from RHIBs, small USVs by a team of 1-2 operators. This will provide navies with the flexibility to deploy countermeasures from virtually any platform in minutes.

Our roadmap focuses on allowing one operator to simultaneously control multiple U-1A Legions through our on-board operator interface, thanks to semi-autonomous waypoint navigation and swarm coordination.

The system is being designed to be equally effective against both bottom and moored mines, delivering precise neutralization with a shaped charge while maintaining full manoeuvrability in high currents.

The U-1A Legion aims to transform mine countermeasures from a slow, resource-heavy operation into an immediate, attritable capability.
